Strategy & Identity
My focus on this project was to try and develop new concepts and methods for encouraging a younger audience to engage with Jazz music. Below is a e-publication exploring the process of this project.

Environment & Experience
Below are two sound pieces I composed while working on my Environment & Experience module.
The first piece samples a piece of aural history collected from the British Museum's Sound Archive. I then proceeded to compose a jazz piano piece for it - while I wrote, performed and recorded. I programmed the drums electronically using Logic Pro. I wanted to further the relaxing nature of the piece by creating a hypnotic visual loop to accompany it - this is seen below in "If You Can't Do Maths, Do Music."
This piece is part of a group project. Five of us created responses to a video of Bjork talking about her television (found here: https://tiny.cc/bjorktv). I cut up her voice to make different percussive sounds. Daniel Avery & Angelo Badalamenti (Twin Peaks) were my two key influences and inspiration for this piece.
